We're improving pedestrian crossings in the Bethany area as part of four different projects.

Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon crossings

We will be adding crosswalks, signs, road striping, curb ramps and Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) at these intersections:

We will also adding crosswalks, signs, road striping and curb ramps at four Waterhouse Trail road crossings. Because these are lower traffic road, we are not building RRFBs as part of this project. Crossings will be improved where Waterhouse Trail intersects:

All of these projects are being designed and constructed together to maximize cost efficiency.

These projects are funded by the Urban Road Maintenance District (URMD). The Urban Road Maintenance District Advisory Committee (URMDAC) selected the projects based on community requests, public input via an online survey and the need to improve safety for those who bike, roll and walk on the trail.
